Mark Forbes

Mark Forbes has over 25 years of experience in engineering, risk management, and financial roles. Mark began their career in 1994 as a Design Engineer at International Game Technology (IGT). Mark then moved to the position of Senior Design Engineer at Acres Gaming/International Game Technology in 1994, where they worked closely with the company founder/CEO to turn ideas into working hardware. In 2003, IGT acquired Acres Gaming and Forbes continued as Senior Design Engineer, supporting the Corvallis office. In 2004, they became an Engineer at IGT Systems. In 2009, they took on the role of Chief Engineer at Forbes Design Engineering, and also became the Hardware Guy at Acres 4.0 Inc. In 2012, they became an Electronics Engineer at Korvis Automation. Finally, in 2016, they became the Director and Chief Financial Officer of Recreation Risk Retention Group, Inc., a volunteer director of a captive insurance company serving the free flight community in the US. In addition to their professional roles, they have also served as Treasurer and Regional Director for the US Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association since 2001, and has chaired the Insurance and Elections committees.

Mark Forbes attended Oregon State University from 1977 to 1983, where they studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
