The Kosasa Foundation was founded in 1994 by Sidney and Minnie Kosasa as an expression of the family’s enduring commitment to Hawaiʻi. The Foundation is dedicated to advancing community well-being through focused, place-based philanthropy. It invests in organizations and initiatives that expand opportunity and strengthen the social and environmental fabric of the islands. Its work centers on four priority areas—opportunity youth, community-based environmental stewardship, early childhood success, and culture and arts—guided by a commitment to thoughtful grantmaking, strong partnerships, and outcomes that contribute to a more resilient and thriving Hawaiʻi.
