Kosmotive is a social enterprise founded in 2014 in Kigali. We are committed to enabling women and girls in Africa to achieve improved menstrual health, dignity, education, and economic inclusion through equitable access to sustainable menstrual products and related reproductive health information.
We use human-centered design to equip women and girls in underserved communities with affordable and sustainable menstrual and reproductive health solutions that strengthen agency and enable full participation in society.
We work at the intersection of innovation in menstrual hygiene, digital health, and community engagement to eliminate period poverty and break the silence around menstrual health for women and girls in Rwanda and beyond.
OUR SOLUTIONS:
KosmoPads:
Affordable, comfortable, reusable sanitary pads designed and manufactured in Rwanda. One KosmoPad replaces up to 120 disposable pads, reducing financial burden and environmental waste simultaneously.
Flexible Payment System:
Cost should never be a barrier to menstrual health. Our installment payment option makes KosmoPads accessible to women across all income levels, turning them into agents of sustainable change.
KosmoHealth:
A mobile-first platform helping women and girls track their cycles, learn through bite-sized lessons, and connect with a supportive community. Features include cycle tracking, menstrual health education, a community space, a blog, and an expert-trained, AI-powered bilingual chatbot in English and Kinyarwanda.
Menstrual Health Management Sessions (MHM):
We partner with organizations to deliver in-person and community-based MHM sessions for girls in schools, parents, and boys because lasting change happens when whole communities are part of the conversation.
OUR REACH:
To date, we have reached 8+ million people through outreach, distributed 600,000+ KosmoPads, and established distribution partnerships in Kenya, the Central African Republic, and the DRC.
