Joel Smith

Joel Smith is a Creative Director at Koto, where they lead inclusive teams to produce bold creative work. Prior to this role, they served as a Design Director in a freelance capacity and held positions at Moving Brands as a Senior Designer from 2019 to 2021 and at Design by S-T as a Designer from 2015 to 2018. Throughout their career, Joel has overseen complex, large-scale programs and fostered strong client relationships while mentoring design teams and implementing innovative methodologies. Notable projects include the redesign of the BBC News App and a global campaign supporting the UN’s sustainable development goals.
