Smita Shekar

Smita Shekar is a Senior Technical Lead at KPIT since December 2022, focusing on computer vision products utilizing Cadence Tensilica DSP Vision processors. Previously, Smita served as Lead Engineer at PathPartner Technology, where development and porting of deep neural networks on Tensilica DSP processors were primary responsibilities. At HD Medical Group, Smita worked as DSP Lead on a high-end digital stethoscope project, enhancing smartphone/tablet capabilities for real-time display of medical signals. Experience also includes roles at Hellosoft, where optimization and integration of physical layer algorithms for Wi-Fi were undertaken, as well as mobile application development at Digibee Microsystems and Incore Technologies. Smita holds a Master’s Degree in Signal Processing from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
