Akis Tsiotsios

Akis Tsiotsios is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in machine learning and advanced analytics, currently serving as Senior Data Science Manager at Kpler since June 2023. Prior to this role, Tsiotsios held positions at MarineTraffic, leading the Data Science team, and at Sentio Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist/ML Engineer, where real-time algorithms for emotion recognition were developed. Earlier experience includes data scientist roles at Transport for London, and research positions at Dyson Robotics Lab and Imperial College London. Tsiotsios holds a PhD in Computer Vision from Imperial College London, complemented by a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a visiting student experience at Universitat de Barcelona.
