Jack Magowan is an experienced software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Kpler since August 2025, following the acquisition of Spire's maritime business unit where Jack was part of the engineering team. Prior to that, Jack held roles at Spire as both a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer from October 2021 to August 2025. Jack began the professional career as a Java Software Engineer at ThinkAnalytics from November 2019 to October 2021 and worked as an IT Consultant at FDM Group from July 2017 to November 2019, providing consultancy services as a Java developer for RBS. Jack earned a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of St Andrews, completing studies in 2017.
