Michael Hoffman is the Chief Economist for KPMG Canada’s Global Transfer Pricing Services practice, where they have been pivotal since 2000 in helping clients navigate the complexities of transfer pricing in a dynamic global tax landscape. With extensive technical expertise from planning to compliance and dispute resolution, Michael has worked across various industries, including oil and gas, technology, and consumer products. They served as the KPMG Calgary Transfer Pricing Leader from 2005 to 2016 and again since 2019, while also assisting clients in the Greater Toronto Area. Michael's contributions to the field have earned recognition as an Expert Transfer Pricing Advisor in the Euromoney Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisors since 2011. They hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Alberta.
