Anders Bäckström

Anders Bäckström currently serves as the Head of Quality, Risk Management, Ethics & Independence, and Regulatory for KPMG Sweden Group, where they are also a member of the Executive Management Team and Chair of KPMG’s Nordic Risk Council. With 35 years of experience at KPMG, Anders held previous roles including Head of Audit and leader of the Financial Services sector. A licensed public accountant, they completed a Licentiate of Economics degree and have actively contributed to the Swedish professional institute FAR, serving in various leadership positions. Anders's career has been marked by a strong commitment to risk management and regulatory compliance across the financial services industry.
