Bob Owel

Bob Owel is an IFRS Technical Associate Partner with a strong background in insurance accounting. They have nearly 20 years of diverse experience in the insurance industry, including seven years focused specifically on IFRS 9 and 17 standards. Previously, Bob served as the Director of the International Standards Group at KPMG UK from 2019 to 2023 and held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers before transitioning to AIA as the Head of Accounting Policies. Bob currently leads the insurance accounting team at KPMG and is also the Deputy Leader of the Insurance Contracts Topic Team, engaging closely with the IASB on developments in IFRS 17. They hold a Bachelor's Degree, a Master's Degree, and a Post Master from Nyenrode University.
