Mark de Groot

Mark de Groot is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Team Lead for the KPN REDteam within the KPN CISO Office since October 2012, Mark specializes in ethical hacking, conducting adversarial attack simulations, and red teaming exercises to enhance organizational defenses. In addition to leading security initiatives, Mark works as a Security Consultant for KPN IT Solutions Trusted Services, focusing on penetration testing, technical training, and building SOC/SIEM solutions. Previously, Mark held the position of Security Manager at KPN Corporate Market BV, where responsibilities included managing security processes and implementing audit requirements. Mark's career also includes roles as a Security Consultant and Engineer at Getronics PinkRoccade and a Systeembeheerder at RCE. Mark holds several certifications, including CISSP and CEH.
