Michael O'Connor

Michael O'Connor has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Deputy General Counsel at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange since July 2019, after progressing through roles including Associate General Counsel, Senior Counsel, and Litigation Counsel. Prior to Kraken, Michael was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Penn State University from July 2018 to July 2019 and worked at Quinn Emanuel as an Associate from October 2012 to July 2018. Michael began their career as a Law Clerk to Hon. D. Brooks Smith at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from August 2011 to October 2012, following an Associate role at White & Case, LLP from November 2009 to August 2011. Michael holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School (2006-2009) and a B.S. in Computer Science and Biology from Penn State University (2001-2005).
