Robert Engle named Chairman of Kraneshares advisors Climate Finance Partners
Climate advisory firm Climate Finance Partners, a sub-advisor to the KFA Global Carbon Network, has named former Nobel Prize winner Robert Engle the Chairman of its Advisory Board. As Chairman, Mr. Engle will provide his extensive market expertise and investor education on global carbon allowance markets. "We are thrilled to have Robert as the Chairman of the Climate Finance Advisory Board," said Climate Finance Partners partner Eron Bloomgarden. "As a Nobel laureate in financial markets and thought-leader in climate change risk and sustainable investing, Robert's expertise is an invaluable asset to our mission to provide innovative climate finance solutions to address environmental challenges." Mr. Engle won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2003 for his research on the concept of autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity, a model used to forecast future volatility. He is the Michael Armellino Professor of Finance at New York University Stern School of Business, and a highly respected thought leader in climate change risk and sustainable investing. "Experts agree that the best way to curb pollution and save the planet is to put a price on carbon emissions,” said Mr. Engle. “I believe the Biden Administration rejoining the Paris Agreement, among other factors, will help raise the global price per ton of carbon emissions significantly in the coming years." KFA Funds is a KraneShares company.
