Tim Smith

Chief Meteorologist at KRGV-TV

Tim Smith started their work experience as a News Director at WRBI-FM in 1981. Tim later became the Chief Meteorologist at KRGV-TV in 1981, where they planned and produced weathercasts for various news programs. In 2007, they joined Urban Science Initiative Inc. as a Vice President, where they organized science outreach events for students. Tim also served as the President of the Board of Directors for the International Museum of Art and Science from 2009 to 2011. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President at the Storm Science Network, a non-profit organization that focuses on science outreach events for students.

Tim Smith received a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University in 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington in 1981.
