Melanie Eckert is the Co-CEO & Co-Founder of krisenchat, where Melanie also serves as the Co-Founder & Head of Psychology, focused on developing a psychological concept, training program, and quality management for crisis chat counseling for children and young adults. Melanie is an Advisory Board Member at Kinderheldin, and previously worked as a Psychologist in training at St. Joseph Krankenhaus Berlin-Weißensee. Melanie has a Master of Arts in Psychology and is currently pursuing a degree in Psychoanalytic and Depth Psychological Psychotherapy.

We offer children and young people professional help - every day, 24 hours a day via WhatsApp or text message. krisenchat has been available 24/7 since May 2020. Since then, 500+ crisis counselors have been able to help in over 150,000 crisis situations. We are an interdisciplinary, dynamic team and we work flexibly in our beautiful office in Berlin or from home.
