Brian Severson

Brian Severson has worked in the engineering field since 1998. From 1998 to 2000, they worked at Procter & Gamble as a Utilities Process Engineer and Water Plant Area Leader, supervising the treatment of 9 million gallons of water per day, a $1.4 million budget, and water plant technicians. Brian also coordinated an effort to inspect for compressed air leaks, reducing compressed air use by 10% and increasing compressor reliability to nearly 100%. From 2000 to 2007, they worked at Abbott as a Senior Process Engineer and Validation Engineer. In their role as Senior Process Engineer, they completed the purchase, installation, and commissioning of purified water generation and distribution systems, fermenters, an autoclave, and an equipment washer for a new manufacturing facility. As Validation Engineer, they developed and executed qualification packages for pregnancy test manufacturing equipment, implemented several process improvements to reduce differences between research and manufacturing equipment, and updated equipment operating procedures. From 2007 to 2011, they worked at Baxter Healthcare as a Senior Principal Engineer. In this role, they completed the purchase, installation, and commissioning of over 10 water pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, and distillation systems for new and existing manufacturing plants worldwide. Brian also reviewed operations at over 15 manufacturing plants and created assessments that identified potential projects to reduce water, electrical, and steam usage by over 3% annually. Finally, from 2011 to present, they have worked at Kroeschell Engineering Co. as a Project Manager, responsible for estimating and managing mechanical piping projects. Brian has managed multiple concurrent piping projects at various customer locations and has scheduled and led teams of pipefitters and plumbers to successfully complete project work.

Brian Severson attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
