John Simitzis

John Simitzis has extensive experience in pension fund investments, currently serving as Vice President at Kruger Inc. since October 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing the Pension team and strategies. Prior roles at Kruger Inc. involved senior leadership in pension fund investments and management of public hedged assets, during which John successfully ran equity trading and developed a significant Bitcoin mining operation. Additionally, John has a background in academia, having lectured on Futures and Options at HEC Montréal and served as a teaching assistant for various finance courses. John holds a Master of Science in Applied Financial Economics from HEC Montréal, completed in 2012. Prior to these roles, John gained experience as an analyst intern at CDPQ and participated in volunteer education initiatives in underserved communities.
