James Leda

James Leda is a distressed debt professional with over 20 years of experience in special situations, advisory, and fiduciary roles. They founded Mount Vernon Capital Advisors LLC, specializing in optimizing value in complex investment situations. Previously, Leda served as Managing Director at PPM America, where they played a principal role in notable corporate restructurings, including Lehman Brothers and General Motors. They are a member of the Washington Mutual Inc. Liquidating Trust Advisory Board and currently hold an MBA in Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, Leda is active in philanthropy as the VP and Chair of the Investment Committee at The Foundation for IUP.
