Kshetra's journey began in the late 1930s as a rice milling business. After decades of success, the fourth generation of the family decided to expand into various food segments. This move was driven by a commitment to creating a healthier future generation and, in turn, a stronger and more prosperous families, nation and the world. Kshetra's core belief is that "food is medicine," and the brand aims to create awareness about the importance of wellness by encouraging communities to consume food the right way, just as our ancestors did.

The name "Kshetra" is a Sanskrit word for "Holy Land," which reflects the brand's view of farmland as sacred space.

The brand was founded to promote wellness in the fight against cancer and autoimmune diseases, which it believes are linked to a significant shift in modern food consumption habits.

Kshetra is committed to educating farming communities on appropriate practices, such as the rational use of water and the use of natural fertilizers and pesticides for a better yield and crop. By procuring directly from farmers—thus avoiding middlemen—Kshetra elevates the socio-economic livelihood of these communities, as they receive a better price for their produce with a lower investment in natural cultivation.
