KTRE has uniquely positioned itself in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area, which is in the nation's 109th-ranked television market. It covers a viewing area with a population of approximately 400,000. This trade area is comprised of a diverse marketplace and is considered the regional hub of Deep East Texas. KTRE is affiliated with the ABC television network and has offices and news bureaus in Lufkin and Nacogdoches. The principal cities in the area are the county seats of Angelina and Nacogdoches counties.
