Michael Rounds

Michael Rounds is a transitioning Operations and Human Resources Executive currently serving as the Vice Provost for Operations at The University of Kansas since 2018, while also holding the position of Senior Associate Vice Provost for Administration. Prior to this, they served in various leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer for the Kansas City, Missouri School District and Director of Human Performance Resource Center at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Michael's military experience includes key positions such as Commander of the Operations Group at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Director of Operational Plans and Joint Force Development at the Joint Staff. They hold multiple degrees, including an MBA from Baker University and a Master's degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
