Sofie Cools is a professor of corporate law at KU Leuven and a research member of ECGI. Having served as a PhD researcher from 2009 to 2014, Cools currently co-directs the Jan Ronse Institute for Company and Financial Law. They held the position of Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law from 2014 to 2019 and have also been an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Cools is set to join Radboud University as a Professor of Sustainable Company Law from 2023 to 2025.
