Derek Wang is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and educator with a strong track record in AI and analytics. As a co-founder of Taalk since January 2024, Derek focuses on enhancing consumer engagement through Conversation AI Agents. Derek serves on the boards of CURION and Discovery Place, and holds advisory roles at UNC Charlotte's College of Computing and Informatics and Kubit, while also being a partner at TSVC. Previously, Derek founded Stratifyd, a global startup that delivers actionable business insights. With extensive experience in academia, including a graduate faculty position at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and as the former Associate Director of the Charlotte Visualization Center, Derek has contributed to diverse fields through research in visualization and human-computer interaction. Derek holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
