Gilbert Uwem has held a variety of roles since 2014. gilbert began their career as an Office Assistant at the Directorate of Youth Development in 2014. In 2016, they held positions as a Customer Service Representative at Eze Sales Asaba and a Customer Care Rep at Tenece Professional Services. From 2017 to 2021, they held roles as a Customer Service Officer, First Monie Agency Banking, Relationship/Digital Product Sales Executive at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd., a Procurement Officer at Davinebo Construction Company Limited, and a Pos Support Operations at Nomba.

Gilbert Uwem attended Imo State University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Certificate in International Crisis Management, and an International Emergency Management Accreditation.
