It started with Kuro & Kai: two adopted cats who changed the way we think about pet food. With them we learned that simple, recognizable ingredients should be the starting point. But the products they truly loved weren’t always easy to find. We began for them, and we continue for people who, like us, care deeply about what goes into their pets’ bowls.

Now Kuro&Kai is a start up on a mission. Redefining pet wellness with radical simplicity and uncompromising care. We bring innovation on four fronts:

First process. Ever heard of freeze-drying? It’s the process used for astronaut food (and now for your pet). Inspired in raw feeding with the convenience of kibble. We gently freeze-dry our snacks to preserve up to 98% of nutrients and flavor. Light. Shelf-stable. Effortlessly refined. Naturally delicious and no refrigeration needed!

Secondly in the format because, who said pet treats had to look like… pet treats?
We bring you Lollipops, waffles, and single-ingredient snacks that turn everyday feeding into something interactive and memorable.

Third... Ever tried reading a pet label? Exactly.
We redesigned them to put what truly matters on the front: the ingredients. So feeding your pet feels clear and intuitive. Because when the basics are clear, you can focus on what matters most.

And last, but not least, circularity.
We turn olive pits (yes, from actual olives) into sustainable cat litter, giving agricultural byproducts a second life through smart, responsible innovation. We started with olives (Kuro & Kai are Mediterranean, after all) but soon you'll find other natural formulas that give a second life to corn, yuka and Tofu amongst others.

Built for the pets we love to give them the future they deserve. We invite forward-thinking partners to join us. Ready for the Pet Wellness Revolution?
