Kurtis was founded by Louis Kuretzky in 1968 and operated from a single location in Warren, Michigan, as a wholesaler of counter-tops and stock kitchen & bath cabinets. In 1969, sons Howard and Marty joined the business.  Kurtis has grown this business model to 5 locations in southeastern Michigan, including Ann Arbor, Clarkston, Livonia (Headquarters), Royal Oak, Utica.
