KVT is an international operating engineering company offering a full range service from the first concept to a turnkey industrial process plant. The technology portfolio comprises 360° solutions for environmental technologies, oleochemical technologies and wet gas sulfuric acid. Beside established KVT processes the company develops tailor-made solutions according to customers requirements. Within the execution the scope of work focuses on engineering and project management from the conceptual design to a successful start-up.

At the KVT R&D Center, the KVT team is specialized on exploring and developing new chemical compounds, materials, and processes. With state-of-the-art facilities, KVT supports its clients in laboratory test and pilot plant test, as well as in the development of chemicals and process.

The R&D activities are focuses in the following areas: 
•	Development of chemicals based on renewable feedstocks like vegetable oil, sugar and wood 
•	Reusing of by-products and waste streams from industrial processes
•	Closure of material cycles
•	Treatment of waste-water and waste gases coming from industrial processes
•	Waste to energy

The new R&D center, located in St. Radegund nearby Graz-Austria, is a project co-financed from European Union, www.efre.gv.at.
