Simon Platt is currently the Head of Development at Kwalee. Simon has been with the company for 7 years and 6 months, and has held various positions during that time, including Head of Development & Head of Design, Producer, and Head of QA. In their current role, Simon is responsible for managing all internal development and cross-department relationships to get Kwalee's games designed, made, shipped, marketed, and analysed through fast and reliable processes. Simon is also expected to regularly develop their own prototypes (including art, audio, and programming) for Kwalee to ship in a soft-launch capacity. These games are then tested against Kwalee's early KPI requirements with the best progressing to full production. Prior to joining Kwalee, Simon was the QA Manager at Marmalade Game Studio for 1 year and 1 month. In that role, they were responsible for managing a team of Quality Assurance Technicians across three departments, overseeing multiple projects. This included creating and maintaining bug databases for each title in test, building and managing strong, thorough Test Plans, and being involved with game design and functionality planning/development. Simon's experience and expertise in the gaming industry make him a valuable asset to Kwalee and have helped contribute to the company's success.
Simon Platt attended Lawrence Sheriff School in Rugby from 1997 to 2003, where they achieved A-Levels in Mathematics, English and Computing. Simon then attended Abbots Farm, an educational institution, for an unknown period of time.
