Kwitne Queer e.V. is the first Ukrainian LGBTQ+ human rights organisation in Germany.

Based in Berlin, we work to strengthen the visibility, rights and participation of Ukrainian LGBTQ+ people who are building their lives across Germany.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, many queer Ukrainians have relocated across Europe. Kwitne Queer creates spaces where people can connect, find support and become active participants in civic and community life.

Our work combines community support, human rights advocacy, education and cultural initiatives.

Our activities include:

• community and cultural events
• social consultations
• language cafés
• educational discussions and lectures
• advocacy and partnerships with civil society organisations

Through this work, Kwitne Queer amplifies the voices of Ukrainian LGBTQ+ people and contributes to a more visible, connected and empowered community in Germany.
