Pascal Schopp

Pascal Schopp is a highly experienced professional in the field of corn breeding, currently serving as the Head of Corn Breeding Europe Mid-Late at KWS Group since January 2017. In this role, Pascal leads multiple breeding programs focused on germplasm and product development for mid-early to mid-late dent grain corn markets across Europe. Prior to this position, Pascal was a Research Scientist in Corn Breeding, emphasizing germplasm development, abiotic stress tolerance, and innovative breeding methodologies. Pascal's academic background includes a PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Plant Breeding, as well as a Master of Science in Crop Sciences and Plant Breeding, both obtained from the University of Hohenheim. Additionally, research experience includes work at the Institute of Plant Breeding, Seed Science and Population Genetics, concentrating on genomic prediction methodology in plant breeding during the PhD studies.
