Sofia Kollyva

Sofia Kollyva currently works at KWS Group as a Pest and Disease Monitor within the Phytopathology department, a position held since May 2025. Prior to this role, Sofia completed an internship at KWS Group focused on a breeding program for cereals from May to October 2023. Sofia's earlier experience includes serving as a Customer Service Agent at Avedo GmbH, where responsibilities involved customer communication and problem-solving, and a Laboratory Assistant position at ΕΛΓΟ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΑ, which included manual labor, working in a gene bank, conducting DNA extractions, and participating in experiments with cereal varieties. Additionally, Sofia worked as an Assistant at TIF-Helexpo from 2017 to 2019. Sofia holds a Master of Science in Crop Sciences with a focus on Plant Nutrition and Plant Protection from the University of Hohenheim and an Integrated Master and Bachelor in Crop Production and Rural Environment from the University of Thessaly. Early education was completed at Deutsche Schule Thessaloniki.
