Beau Batterson is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in video production, marketing, and education. Currently serving as a Promotions Writer/Producer at KWWL since August 2016, Beau specializes in creating and promoting content for The CW 7.2. Concurrently, Beau is a Digital Media Specialist at Batterson Media, focusing on video and social media content to enhance brands. As an Adjunct Instructor at Hawkeye Community College, Beau teaches aspiring entrepreneurs about effective marketing through website design and social media. Previous roles include Senior Video Editor at Bus-Stop Productions and Freelance Videographer, with a background in film production as Co-Producer for "The Summerland Project" and Editor for the documentary "UNFAIR: EXPOSING THE IRS." Beau's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Northern Iowa and an Associate of Science in Film and Video Production from Full Sail University.

KWWL is the only station with newsrooms in Waterloo, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. We've got you covered. KWWL is owned by Allen Media Broadcasting, and was started as a radio station -- KWWL-AM -- in 1947 by Ralph J. McElroy. KWWL-TV was put on the air in 1953. In 2002, KWWL made the leap into the modern age and switched to digital television. Three years later, the station offered secondary digital sub-channels. In late 2009, KWWL made the next step in digital transition by remodeling their facility to begin high-definition news broadcasts. April 12, 2010, saw the first HD newscast in eastern Iowa.
