Gabriel Ang

Gabriel Ang has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Gabriel is currently working at KX as a Cloud DevOps Engineer since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at AquaQ Analytics as a Financial Software Developer specializing in kdb+/Q and Linux in the finance industry. Gabriel also gained experience in working with the vanilla kdb+ tick system and the TorQ production framework. Gabriel also worked as an Assistant Secretary at the National University of Singapore Students' Union (NUSSU) from October 2020 to September 2021. Gabriel has interned at Klinify as a Data Analyst Intern, Singtel as a Data Scientist (Cybersecurity) Intern, and the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS) as a Statistician. Gabriel has also been a Marketing Executive for the NUS Students' Science Club, where they were responsible for sponsorship and hosted a marketing gameshow segment. Gabriel has experience in R package development, time series modeling, and analyzing population projections using R.

Gabriel Ang completed their education from 2017 to 2021 at the National University of Singapore, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours - Highest Distinction) degree in Statistics with a second major in Business Analytics. In 2019, Gabriel also participated in a Student Exchange Programme at the University of Waterloo, focusing on Mathematics and Statistics.

Additionally, Gabriel Ang has obtained several certifications in the field of technology. In December 2021, they became an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2021 Associate certified by Oracle. In September 2021, Gabriel achieved the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), followed by the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification in November 2021 and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification in March 2022, both also from AWS. Lastly, in June 2022, Gabriel became a HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate certified by HashiCorp.
