Jason Quinn has a diverse background in research, teaching, and software development. Their most recent position was with KX, where they worked as a KDB+ Developer for KX Surveillance starting in November 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Lecturer at Dublin Institute of Technology from September 2014 to August 2015.
From 2008 to 2015, Jason worked at Dublin City University and Dublin Institute of Technology as a Researcher. Their responsibilities included designing, testing, and analyzing numerical methods for ordinary and partial differential equations used in various modeling applications. Jason also automated and improved the testing process using MATLAB and C++, and implemented a new numerical algorithm for a partial differential equation in fluid dynamics modeling.
In addition to their research, Jason held multiple roles at Dublin City University starting in 2007. Jason served as the Director of Maths Learning Centre from September 2013 to May 2014, and as a Lecturer and Distance Education Course Coordinator from September 2012 to August 2013. Jason also worked as a Mathematics and Computer Lab tutor from October 2007 to August 2012, and as a Disability and Learning Support Tutor from September 2009 to July 2012. Jason also briefly worked as a Maths Software Creator in 2008.
Before their academic and research pursuits, Jason gained work experience through an internship at New Ireland Assurance from January to September 2006.
Jason Quinn attended Dublin City University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics. Jason then pursued further education at the same university from 2008 to 2012, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics.
