Liam O'Mahony started their education at Hamilton High School from 2007 to 2013, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate with a focus on Business. Liam then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Economics/Accounting at University College Cork from 2013 to 2017.

In 2017, Liam also attended Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann for a short period, where they obtained a Teastas i dTeagasc Ceolta Tíre (TTCT) in Irish Music. During the same year, they enrolled in University College Cork again and completed a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from 2017 to 2018.

In terms of additional certifications, Liam obtained Exam IV - Case Studies: Governance, Best Practice, and Ethics from PRMIA - Professional Risk Managers' International Association in October 2020. Prior to that, in September 2020, they acquired Exam II - Mathematical Foundations of Risk Management from the same institution.
