Developer Advocate at KX

Michaela Woods has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 as an Engineering Intern at Irish Water. In 2014, they became a Data Scientist at KX, where they worked until 2018. During their time at KX, they were responsible for planning, developing, and delivering the KX Training Curriculum. Michaela also created and launched the online self-serve training platform called KX Academy. Additionally, they created industry-leading online courseware, tutorials, and guided walkthroughs, including video recording, editing, and publishing on YouTube. From 2018 to 2021, Michaela worked at KX as a Senior kdb+ Developer. Currently, they hold the position of Technology Evangelist at KX, which they started in January 2021.

Michaela Woods completed their education at Trinity College Dublin. Michaela obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their academic degrees, they also obtained various certifications, including "Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree" from Udacity in March 2019 and "Safe Pass" from the Health and Safety Authority in August 2013. Michaela has also completed several online courses and workshops, such as "How to Be More Strategic in Six Steps," "Shane Snow on Storytelling," and "Strategic Thinking" from LinkedIn, as well as "KX Fundamentals Capstone," "Kx Advanced Course," and "Kx Introductory Workshop" from KX.
