Patrick Mallon

Patrick Mallon has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Patrick currently works as a q/kdb+ developer at KX since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at UBS from 2015-2020, where they held roles as a KDB+ application support specialist and as a Data Analyst for RWA Optimization. At First Derivatives, they worked as a Financial Engineer from 2009-2017. Patrick also gained experience at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International plc as a Senior Risk Support Analyst from 2013-2015. Mallon started their career at RBS Markets & International Banking as a Credit Risk IT Support Analyst and later as a Credit Risk IT Pre-Production Support from 2009-2013. Additionally, they worked at Citi as an FX Support Analyst from 2006-2009 and at Siemens AG as a Placement Student from 2002-2003.

Patrick Mallon attended Queen's University Belfast from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt from 1993 to 2000. Additionally, Patrick Mallon has obtained additional certifications, including a Cloud DevOps Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity in December 2021 and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021.
