Richard Farquharson

Richard Farquharson has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries. Richard worked at KX as a Senior Software Engineer starting in 2020. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at First Derivatives from 2018 to 2020. From 2009 to 2018, Richard worked at Aon Hewitt in various roles, including Software Engineer in the Risk Modelling Team and Associate Consultant in the same team. Richard also served as an Analyst in the Retirement and Investment Practice, where they supported consultants for a range of UK registered pension funds. Richard's earliest work experience was at Forest Hill School, where they worked as a Mathematics Teacher from 2006 to 2008. In this role, they taught pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 and gained experience working with students of different abilities and special needs.

Richard Farquharson earned a MSc degree in Actuarial Finance from Imperial College London, studying from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a PGCE degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at London South Bank University, attending from 2005 to 2006. Their undergraduate studies were completed at the University of York, where they obtained a MMath degree in Mathematics from 2001 to 2005.
