Tom Savoth has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Tom currently holds the position of VP of Legal at KX, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant, specifically as a Technology and Commercial Contracts Attorney from December 2021 to January 2023.
During their time at Information Builders, where they worked from 1999 to 2021, Tom held various positions, including Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Vice President for Legal Affairs in the Professional Services Division, Director of Legal Service Consulting Division, Managing Counsel for Consulting Contracts, and Contract Specialist. In these roles, they managed a global contracting team, oversaw licensing and professional services contracting activities for government agencies and Fortune 500 companies, and was responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and approving legal documents such as licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and technology agreements.
Before joining Information Builders, Tom worked as an Associate at Purcell Reis Shannon Mulcahy from 1996 to 1999. Tom began their career at AT&T Bell Labs as a Member of Technical Staff from 1980 to 1989.
Tom Savoth has a well-rounded education history. Tom began their academic journey at Rutgers University from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing their studies in 1981. Seeking further specialization in the legal field, Tom attended the University of Colorado Boulder and earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law from 1989 to 1992.
