Brian Smith

Brian Smith is a seasoned software engineering manager with extensive experience in leading the design, development, and deployment of critical software solutions in the telecommunications and media sectors. Currently serving as Sr. Software Engineering Manager at Kymeta Corporation since April 2018, Brian has successfully directed teams to deliver industry-leading satellite terminal products, including the Kymeta U7 and U8 families. Previous roles include Software Development Manager at Espial and ARRIS, where Brian oversaw the development of key applications and integrated services such as the Opera browser and YouTube TV. With a foundational background in software engineering from early roles at companies like Digeo and Siemens Ultrasound Group, Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
