Marcel Schmidt has extensive experience in systems engineering and client solutions, with significant roles at Swiss Reinsurance Company, LzLabs GmbH, and Winterthur Insurance, among others. As a Senior Systems Engineer at Swiss Reinsurance Company from February 2002 to October 2017 and a Senior Client Solutions Engineer at LzLabs GmbH from May 2018 to November 2020, Marcel focused on bridging legacy systems with modern technology. Additionally, Marcel has taken on leadership roles as CEO and Founder of MMS IT GmbH and is currently a Senior Consultant in Mainframe Modernization at Kyndryl. Marcel is also involved in academia, serving as a Lecturer for Mainframe Technology at EMA European Mainframe Academy GmbH. A passion for historical research has led to self-employment as a Familienforscher und Historiker since February 2023. Marcel holds a degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from KV Business School Zürich.
