LA F srl is an engineering and architecture company established in 2011 and based in the province of L’Aquila, Central Italy, with an increasingly international outlook. We bring together a young, highly skilled team of architects, structural and seismic engineers, energy specialists and urban designers, able to manage the full project cycle: from technical and economic feasibility studies to integrated design, site supervision, health and safety coordination and quality control.
Our core business is rooted in post earthquake reconstruction, where we have built strong experience on historic aggregates, villages, public buildings and residential complexes, combining seismic upgrading, technological improvement and better energy performance. In parallel, we specialise in the restoration and adaptive reuse of heritage and listed buildings, protecting architectural and cultural value while enhancing safety, comfort and accessibility.
A further pillar of our work is deep energy retrofit of existing assets, often targeting NZEB level performance, with high efficiency envelopes, modern building services and integrated photovoltaic systems to reduce consumption, emissions and operating costs. We also design urban regeneration projects, public spaces, infrastructure and soft mobility schemes, frequently within programmes financed by European funds and the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan.
In recent years, LA F has extended its reach beyond Italy, taking part in initiatives and competitions in Europe, the United Arab Emirates and Libya, particularly in Benghazi. Here we develop concepts for post war reconstruction and sustainable urban hubs designed to attract international investment. This combination of proven delivery in complex Italian programmes and growing international experience makes our skills directly applicable and valuable for global investors focused on resilient, low carbon development.
