Toby Steele

Toby Steele is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Human Resources, most recently serving at La-Z-Boy since July 2014, overseeing HR functions for 1,400 employees. Prior to this, Toby managed the Chattanooga Branch for MAU Workforce Solutions and provided HR consulting on a contract basis for The CARA Group, Inc., focusing on a major software conversion for US Cellular. Previous positions include Executive Account Manager for the Service Provider Group and Human Resources Manager at International Muffler Company, managing HR for a manufacturing plant with over 400 employees. Toby's career in Human Resources began at The Knoxville News Sentinel, where responsibilities included all facets of the HR function. Toby possesses two Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees, focusing on Business and Lean Manufacturing from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Biology from East Tennessee State University.
