Joey Freeman is currently the Vice President of State and Local Affairs for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Previously, Joey held various roles, including Policy Director for Gavin for Governor and Senior Advisor and Policy Director for Karen Bass for Mayor. Joey’s experience spans notable positions such as Chief Policy Consultant in the Office of Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom and Director of Policy and Budget Initiatives in the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. Joey also participated in the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, focusing on collaborative approaches to community challenges. Joey is pursuing an MBA at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
