Walter Okitsu

Walter Okitsu is currently the Transport Venues Director for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games. They previously served as a lecturer at UCLA's Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, teaching Traffic Engineering and Transportation Engineering courses from 2007 to 2020. With extensive experience as a traffic engineer at Katz, Okitsu & Associates and KOA Corporation, they contributed to transportation planning over several decades. Walter also earned degrees in Civil Engineering from California State University-Los Angeles, and in Transportation Engineering from UC Berkeley, along with a BS in Mathematics-Computer Science from UCLA.
