Our first-hand founder, operator, and private equity experience allows us to deploy our own dedicated CEOs armed with proprietary private equity playbooks and resources into a segment of the market that is typically underserved by professional equity capital providers. 

While Lab One Capital operates similarly to a private equity firm in that we buy equity of private companies, we differ from traditional private equity and search funds in several key ways:

1) Operator-first investment approach – We begin by identifying industry-leading SME operating partners in each vertical, and then collaboratively reverse-engineer a search process to source businesses that align with their expertise and Lab One’s investment focus;

2) Forever hold strategy – We follow a permanent hold philosophy, investing with no intention to exit and viewing profit as a measure of value creation rather than value extraction; and

3) Investing our own capital – Our equity investments are comprised exclusively of our own capital earned through our own successful entrepreneurial endeavors in the past.
