Michelle Chen

Michelle Chen has over three years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Associate, Lab Operations at LabCentral. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Day Zero Diagnostics, Inc, where they held four roles: Associate Laboratory Manager, Research Associate II, Lab Operations Manager, and Research Associate I. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Northeastern University, where they held two roles: Teaching & Field Operator Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher. As a Teaching & Field Operator Assistant, they assisted eight professors with separate rigorous researched-based courses involving developing an understanding of marine ecology. As a Graduate Student Researcher, they analyzed two years of video transect data focusing on White Band Disease on A. cervicornis reefs using R and presented concluding effects of extreme heat events on WBD prevalence, WBD interface count, and host abundance.

Michelle Chen attended Northeastern University from 2017 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography. Prior to that, they attended Boston University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Sciences.
