Custom Equipment Design Engineer at Labconco

Alan Thurmon has a diverse work experience in engineering and drafting roles. Alan started their career as a Drafter/Designer at AGCO Corporation, where they worked from 1979 to 1987. Alan then worked at Libby Corp as a Checker and at Rimpull Corp as a Jr. Design Engineer.

In 1991, they joined Husqvarna as a Sr. Design Engineer, where they remained until 2008. During their time at Husqvarna, they worked on designing concrete saws, masonry saws, tile saws, and floor preparation equipment.

From 2008 to 2009, Thurmon took on a temporary role as a Design Engineer at AEROTEK Staffing, where they worked on redesigning LED street light assemblies.

Following this, they served as a Sourcing Engineer at SFA Companies from 2009 to 2010. Currently, they work at Labconco as a Custom Equipment Design Engineer, a position they have held since 2010.

Alan Thurmon completed their education in a chronological manner. Alan started their academic journey in 1975 at Fort Osage High School where they obtained a Diploma in General Studies in 1979. Following this, from 1977 to 1979, Alan attended the Fort Osage Career & Technical Center, where they attained a Technical Drafting Certificate. Lastly, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, completing their degree in 1990.
