Andrea Throop

Andrea Throop is currently the VP of Laboratory Operations at LabCorp and an Associate Editor at BioMed Central. They held a variety of roles in their career, including Clinical Laboratory Manager at Family Practice Specialists and Postdoctoral Scientist at both Arizona State University and The University of Arizona. Andrea's early experience includes an internship at Pfizer, where they contributed to pharmacokinetics research, and a position as a MedTech Assistant at Sparrow Health System. They hold a BS in Microbiology from Michigan State University and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Michigan Medical School.
