Arriel Powell is a Forensic Certifying Scientist at LabCorp since November 2016, responsible for reviewing and interpreting results from various testing methods and overseeing laboratory operations as the Certification Team Lead. Previously, Arriel completed a Forensic Pathologist Internship at the Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York, where autopsy procedures were observed and discussed. Arriel also engaged in summer research at Montclair State University, focusing on DNA sequencing of Cryptochrome I from Sunflowers. Arriel holds a Doctor of Nursing degree specializing in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and a Master of Science in Forensic Science from John Jay College, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Montclair State University and is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Registered Nursing at Columbia University.
